We offer several ways to get involved and help with the mission of Cape Warming Center. We have opportunities for nearly every skill level and interest, so that almost anyone can help with the mission of Cape Warming Center. We appreciate your interest
Volunteer
When the warming shelter is open, we rely on our volunteers to fulfill our mission. Shifts are 4 hours and run from 7PM to 7AM. We prefer 5 volunteers per shift, with at least one male. Job duties vary depending what shift you choose, but may include things such as helping with sign in, monitoring guests, helping serve breakfast, wake-up, and cleanup.
Meal Train
If you enjoying cooking, than our meal training could be a great opportunity for you! We serve both dinner and breakfast. Food should come prepared and can be served at the church. We would love for you to stay and serve/clean up during meal time, but if you can’t, please don’t let that deter you from signing up to cook!
Donate Items
If you wish to donate items, we have an Amazon Registry where you can directly purchase items we need for the Warming Center. Simply click the button below, purchase the item you would like to order, and it will send directly to us. We prefer very minimal donations be dropped off at the church as we have limited storage. If you’d like to donate clothes please donate to Street Level as they have been helping with needed items!
